The Pier Inn micro pub, which has proved a hit with resident and visitors since opening in St Annes Square, in early 2022, has announced plans to extend into the adjacent long-unoccupied former Subway store on the prominent corner of Clifton Drive South.

Management there say the proposed expansion will offer a more comfortable experience with extra room to relax, gather and enjoy, more room for events and more space for celebration as well as a new room to hire for meetings, private events and special occasions.
But owner Christine Lee says the move and opening date are subject to planning approval from Fylde Council for change of use of the adjacent premises from retail.
“We’re just waiting for that and we’ll announce the date,” said Christine.
