We’ve rebranded our beloved Poulton shop but our famous pork pies aren’t going anywhere

A beloved Poulton pie shop has unveiled a fresh new look and name, expanding its offering while staying true to its roots.

Customers in Poulton may have noticed a change on the high street, as The Pork Shop has officially rebranded to Crave. But regulars need not worry - the much-loved pie specialist is still very much at the heart of the business.

The rebrand marks an exciting new chapter with plans to transform the space into a small, vibrant food hall rather than a traditional single-focus shop.

While The Pork Shop remains central, Crave now brings together a wider variety of food concepts under one roof. Among the new additions is SpudLab, serving up loaded baked potatoes, alongside freshly made doughnuts and a strong focus on high-quality coffee.

The revamped space also includes seating, giving customers the option to sit in and enjoy their food - something many had been asking for. Despite the expansion, the team is keen to reassure loyal customers that nothing they love has disappeared. In fact, there has been a return to tradition behind the scenes.

After listening to feedback, pork pies are now once again being made in-house, in small batches, using the original recipe that built the shop’s reputation.

The move reflects both a response to customer demand and a desire to grow creatively, offering more choice while maintaining the quality and identity that made The Pork Shop a local favourite.

The owners say they are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the Poulton community over the years, describing it as vital to their journey so far. Owner and Managing Director of Crave, Jack Gardner, said: “You might have noticed that The Pork Shop is now called Crave. Don’t worry though, The Pork Shop hasn’t gone anywhere.

“It’s still here in the shop with all the same products you know and love. We’ve rebranded so we can start bringing in new concepts alongside The Pork Shop and turn the space into a bit more of a small food hall rather than just a pie shop.

“We’ve introduced a few new things in the shop like SpudLab, doughnuts and amazing coffee, and we’ve also added some seating inside so people can sit in and eat if they want to. The Pork Shop is still very much the heart of it though. After a bit of feedback over the years, I’ve also gone back to making our pork pies in house again in small batches using the original recipe.

“Really appreciate all the support from everyone in Poulton over the years, it genuinely means a lot to us. Excited to see where we can take things next.”

With Crave now open and evolving, they are looking forward to seeing how the concept develops and bringing even more to the town in the future.
