I struggled to find good quality Indian food in Blackpool, so I opened my own restaurant
A new Indian restaurant is coming to Blackpool, as an new street food venture gets set to open on the Promenade.
The restaurant, which opens its doors on Friday, April 3, is the brainchild of 22-year-old entrepreneur Cody Milnes, who already runs popular local spots Desi Lounge and Boujee Bar on Lytham Road.

Cody, said: “The inspiration to open came from me looking personally for good quality Indian food places to eat in Blackpool, which I struggled to find.
“I started Desi Lounge a year ago and it has gone really well, the customers love the food and we have loads of good reviews, but I wanted to create something that is more restaurant style rather than takeaway.
“That’s where the inspiration for Tuk Tuk Indian street food came from,” he added, with the new menu combining street food with more typical restaurant-style offerings.

Cody said: “I know Blackpool needs new investment and new ideas and this restaurant brings together both of them.
“We are serving high quality authentic Indian food and a nice street food section as well. We have our grand opening this Friday. Anyone eating with us on Sunday will enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on arrival.”
The drinks menu is equally ambitious, featuring a quirky Indian-themed cocktail selection.
The restaurant aims to bring new investment and fresh ideas to Blackpool’s hospitality scene, offering a space where friends and families can gather for a night out, rather than a quick takeaway.
Cody said: “We hope to bring a modern twist and a next level Indian themed cocktail menu as well, the food is unreal and the atmosphere is amazing - the memories will be unforgettable.”
