Richard Thompson from St Annes won a national prize for the being the best student on his degree course at university. Richard was a former pupil of Lytham St Annes High School and is now a student at the University of Central Lancashire. He won the Society for General Microbiology (SGM) prize for being the best second year student on a microbiology degree.
