The resort is ready to submit a bid for £25m of government cash - supported by a further £35m of public and private funding - to deliver 11 projects that town leaders say would transform Blackpool. This is where the money would be spent.
1. Houndshill extension

2. Old post office
The resort also wants to ensure plans to redevelop the old post office on Abingdon Street into a 102-bedroom hotel, for which planning permission was granted last year, can go ahead Photo: Martin Bostock
3. Abingdon Street Market
It is hoped to "rejuvenate" the market in order to attract more visitors.
4. King Street

5. Supporting new businesses
Three vacant units in the town centre could be bought and refurbished to support new ventures in the resort, including pop-up shops.
6. Adelaide Street transport hub
There are plans to improve public and other transport access including bus shelters, taxi, cycle and pedestrian access facilities.
