Blackpool Mayor Coun Gillian Campbell will officially open the gala and crown the gala king and queen at 12 noon.
Louise Chennells, Claremont community and centre co-ordinator, said: “Claremont Gala had been running successfully for many years, but sadly like many other community events it had been postponed due to the global pandemic.
“We have been working really hard behind the scenes to bring it back bigger and better than ever before. We have received amazing support from residents, organisations and local councillors.”

Louise added: “The events ethos is about providing an affordable and inclusive celebration for all.
“We understand that times have been difficult financially and proud to be able to offer children’s funfair rides for free thanks to funding from local councillors.
“We have also opted for a designated picnic area rather than numerous food vans that people may struggle to afford.”

Hide AdClaremont ward councillor Ivan Taylor said: “We thought about bringing it back last year, but it wasn’t quite the right time so I’m really pleased the gala is back up and running this year.
“Claremont is a mixed community with more than its share of problems but this is an event everyone can really enjoy. All the rides are free, there are plenty of activities and everyone is invited.”
In the event of bad weather, events will be held indoors at St Pauls Worship Centre and Claremont Park Community Centre.
