Original members Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston, joined by guest Bobby McVay, will appear at Fleetwood Marine Hall in October.

Hailed as ‘the most successful Eurovision band ever’, they’re calling on fans to celebrate with them - and they still rip off their skirts after all these years.

Cheryl said: “I am enjoying working with Mike and Jay better than I ever did before.

“We have such a laugh and get such a terrific response from our audience, especially when we rip the skirts off.

“I never dreamed I would still be singing Making Your Mind Up 35 years on, but now I’m here I’m so glad that I do!”

The band was formed in early 1981, when four strangers were brought together in a house in Fulham and were told: “You are now Bucks Fizz”.

A spokesman said: “In the eight weeks between that first meeting and appearing on A Song for Europe on 11th March 1981, Bucks Fizz were hurled into a melee of rehearsing, recording, choreography, styling, interviews and photography. All that hard work and effort was to pay dividends – they went on to win the Song for Europe and Eurovision Song Contest 1981 and became household names around the world.”
