"We're from Blackpool, a place that was struggling before Covid and Brexit, and now, as with much of the North, seems to be even less of a priority for our rulers in the South.
"It's about the state of the world right now....but it is also a reflective snapshot of what a potent force we can be as a people if we stand together and believe that we have the power, and not just 'hail the king'.
"Lover is the positive, the affirmed, the route to freedom from whatever you might be stuck in'.

Bass player Andy Bache added: 'We wrote the song in our rehearsal room above a pub in town, in the very brief period between lockdowns.
"Now the pub's shut again, so we've not been able to rehearse for ages, and we haven't played a gig for even longer.
"We've never played 'Lover' to an audience, but it's had a live debut when we played the Bootleg Social in Blackpool, where ironically, there was still no audience present.'
