The Sale team includes forward Josh Beaumont, who used to play for Fylde.

Danny Cipriano is named on the bench, while Sale’s scrum-half is Nathan Fowles, whose proposed loan move to the Woodlands failed to materialise last season.

Sale are already on the Fylde coast for a few days’ training ahead of the game and have trained at Rossall School.

Sale director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: “ The players are now ready for some rugby after intensive training since the start of June and the game at Fylde will give us the opportunity to try things out.

“We have two more warm-up games to come and the players not featuring at Fylde will get their chance to impress.”

Fylde coach Mark Nelson said: “It will give people a chance to see not only one of the best teams in England in action, but in Sale one of the best teams in Europe.”

Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 7.15pm.
