Sherratt leads home Wesham's women
They were led by Sarah Sherratt (28:11), followed by Tracey Hume (31:12), Jenn Thompson (32:08), Kath Hoyer (33:38), Kerry Eccles (37:35), Fran Hodgkinson (37:38), Tanya Barlow (37:47) and Diane Blagden (38:02).
Sherratt, Hulme and Thompson were the 13th team overall with the W35s third and the W45s second.

Hide AdIn the same race, running for the M70+ event, Dave Waywell won the race outright with 36:35.
The men’s 10K saw Simon Denye the top Wesham runner in 40:12, finishing ahead of Garry Barnett (43:35), Lee Barlow (44:03), John Collier (47:07) and Ben Wrigley (57:01).
Rob Danson was victorious in the Stanley Park 5 on Sunday, finishing more than four minutes clear in 26:27.
Jason Barlow (30:37) was third, followed by brother Lee (31:21), Peter Cruse (32:40), Mark Renshall (34:02), Alan Hudson (34:30), Sean Murray (36:18), Chris Moss (37:53), Alan Taylor (38:21), Kath Hoyer (38:50), Kerry Eccles (41:52), Dave Waywell (42:26), Robert James (42:41) and Tanya Barlow (44:53).

Hide AdDavid Taylor made his marathon debut in the Chester Marathon on Sunday where he laid out his stall with a time of 3:00.31, while Paul Carter ran 4:44.53 (4:43.46 chip time).
Carmel Sullivan ran the Merseyside 10K in 42:26, while Mick Edge, carrying an injury, finished in 50:23.
Stuart Topping ran the Preston 10K in 45:01, followed home by Robert Danson Snr (54:43) and Graham Vickers (55:56), while Maureen Danson completed the 5K in 28:26.
Jonathan Lawson was the leading Wesham runner at last week’s Lytham Hall parkrun, clocking 21:40 for a PB.
