A much-changed Blackpool side took the lead when full-back Gordon Richmond made a lung-busting 70-metre run before the ball as recycled for Carl Reynolds to dart over.

But then Preston began to dominate possession and it was no surprise when they crashed over from close range.

The home side continued to concede penalties and lolst flanker Louis Shelton to a head injury, and it was Preston who led at half-time after a converted try.

A fired-up Blackpool moved into the higher gear after the restart and Reynolds scored his second try frm number eight Daniel Komosinski’s slick pass.

Luke Crosbie’s conversion levelled the scores and Blackpool took the lead when Finegan resembled a runaway freight train as he bulldozed through from halfway, Crosbie converting.

The home side crossed the whitewash again through fly-half Adam Glover, after powerful carries from Zac Garner and Alasdair Wilson. Crosbie’s goal made it 26-12.

Preston struck back as a converted try left the game back in the balance.

However, Blackpool scored again when quick hands resulted in Richmond slipping the perfect pass to send Ashley Swarbrick racing 50 metres to score, Crosbie adding his fourth goals.

A great hit by Antony Clark dislodged the ball and enabled centre Paul Vuti to race 40-metres for a try.

Blackpool still had time for one final score rom a quick tap penalty as Glover’s long pass found Clark, who sent Swarbrick in at the corner for his second.

Blackpool aim to maintain their winning start at home to Burnley 3 on Saturday.
