Adam began to feature regularly in these pages in 2018 when, as an 18-year-old motorsport engineering student at Myerscough College, he was crowned Ginetta Junior champion.

He was then one of only two drivers selected for the Elite Motorsport team to contest the Ginetta GT5 Challenge last year, finishing fourth overall.

Adam takes up the story: “After having a successful debut season in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge last season, I have taken the next step to move up a category.

“I will be competing with the Elite Motorsport team for a third year. Having won the Ginetta Junior championship in 2018 with them and winning multiple races in GT5, it wasn’t a question of which team we were going to compete with.”

As with so much other sport this year, the season’s start has been delayed but a seven-round championship is due to get under way at Donington Park over the weekend of August 1-2.

The series will be a supporting event for the British Touring Car Championship and will feature events at many of the country’s iconic race circuits.

The rest of Adam’s itinerary is: Brands Hatch GP (August 8-9), Oulton Park (Aug 22-23), Thruxton (September 19-20), Croft (October 10-11), Snetterton (Oct 24-25) and Brands Hatch Indy (Nov 14-15).
