And on the back of a season like no other in history, the organisation established last year by locally-based Bobby Denning and Danny Gilbert is offering young cricketers an alternative to packing bats and balls away over the winter months.

As well as delivering five Cricket Coaching Camps, working with clubs and doing one-on-one sessions, FCCC have made extensive plans to help young cricketers move from a shortened season into a structured winter training programme tailored to their requirements.

Director and ECB Level 4 coach Bobby Denning said: “Sixty young cricketers from the region are now part of the FCCC family.

“It’s essential they get ongoing support and training, and we are committed to doing just that with our planned winter courses.

“We moved from outdoors to indoors more or less immediately and are already well into our first course of the winter, running out of Hodgson Academy in Poulton.

“A number of our 2021 programmes are also coming together, both locally and out of the county.”
