The members have had to do their training at home while the club’s Poulton premises are closed, but they have grouped together to take on the #KeepDancingChallenge from Strictly Come Dancing and produce a fun-filled video.

The video, which can be viewed on the club’s Facebook page, has been created by volunteer Melanie Evans, who said: “Lots of the gymnasts usually train up to five days a week at the club but have had to train at home in the current circumstances.

“This most definitely did not stop their passion and love for the sport and the club. They were determined to keep as active as possible and put their own stamp on the #KeepDancingChallenge.

“I created this video to show that nothing will break their spirit, and that they will continue to dance, perform and spread happiness and positivity. We hope it makes everyone smile.”

The club has also launched a fundraising event, with members aiming to complete 10,000 cartwheels by July 25.

Volunteers have set up a page at justgiving.com designed to help fund the ongoing costs of the club in its bid to reopen as quickly as possible.
