For 14-year-old Danielle it proved a happy experience as she ran the 5km with a smile on her face, finishing 19th overall and first female in 20mins, 19 secs.

Bethany, aged 11, enjoyed the run despite a fall, finishing 45th with 22:32, just behind Imogen Reader, who posted a new course personal best of 22:30.

The next day Lucy Tickle was again running, this time at the Mile Fun Run, before the Fairclough 5 Mile race.
