Hodgson's sparkling sports day

Hodgson’s sports day in Poulton was a huge success, encompassing the school’s ‘Imagine, Believe, Achieve’ motto.

More than 700 pupils took part in a wide variety of both inclusive, fun and competitive games activities.

Morning activities focused on team competitions, including boccia, dodgeball and handball.

The pupils competed in house teams representing Griffin, Phoenix, Dragon and Pegasus, who led the way after the mornings events.

The afternoon brought the more traditional track athletics.

Sunshine blessed the afternoon events, with outstanding pupils competing in both sprint, middle and long distance races.

It was the Griffin team which was crowned house champions at the end of a great day.
