Sean has been crossing the Atlantic for the past four years to link up with the Wales-based touring group EPL Sports and spend time at several English clubs, including Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers.

On one trip, he was invited to attend Rossall School and Fleetwood Town Academy, playing for the school and the club.

Sean jumped at the opportunity and enjoyed a four-month experience of being coached and playing with FTFC, while attending a renowned local school.

Sean and his family were so impressed by the care and hospitality of the club that they became Fleetwood supporters.

Sean said: “My time overseas at Rossall School and playing football with Fleetwood Town Academy, with coach Matt Lawlor, was the greatest experience in my life thus far.

“I was able to immerse myself into the culture of the game I love and experience things that players in the United States have never experienced.

“I surrounded myself with people of different cultures from all around the world and I appreciated the kindest people in Fleetwood Town itself.

“I trained with the 16s Academy three days a week. I became so well-known as Stacks around Poolfoot Farm that the coaches believed it was my first name!

“I enhanced my ability on and off the field, becoming not only a better footballer but a better person due to the interactions I had every day.

“I really enjoyed my time there but now I really enjoy being home with my family, friends and class-mates.

“Overall the club provided an incredible experience and pushed me to become a better player. I was ready to join my new team when I returned home. Thank you.”
