Paul Cook doesn't expect Blackpool to give his Wigan Athletic side an "easy ride" when they travel to the DW Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Seasiders go into the game as huge underdogs, having only won two of their last 18 league games.

Wigan, meanwhile, lost their 16-game unbeaten run when they were beaten 3-1 by Southend United on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Wigan remain two points clear at the top of the table.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's game, Cook praised his opposite figure Gary Bowyer for the job he has done at Bloomfield Road.

"Gary's been there for some time now, resulting in a promotion," he said.

"They've been up for a few months, and they've had some well-documented difficulties at their club.

"I think Gary's managed to manage those very well, because it is tough having that to deal with as well as everything else.

"They're very well organised, they've got some very good players and they don't give anyone an easy ride.

"On any given day we know Blackpool can give anyone in this division a game.

"They'll be looking at this as their best opportunity to play us.

"What better time do you want to be playing the league leaders than coming off a defeat?
