There is plenty of excitement around Fleetwood Town this week as they prepare to welcome back former hero Jamie Vardy to Highbury for their clash against Leicester City.

The FA Cup third round tie against the 2015/16 Premier League champions will be screened live on BBC One on Saturday lunchtime.

Not only that, but Blackpool FC writer Matt Scrafton and Fleetwood Town reporter Rosie Swarbrick will also be looking back at the New Year action.

The Seasiders drew 2-2 with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday before beating Rochdale 2-1 on New Year’s Day, while Fleetwood saw off Bury 2-0 before losing 2-1 at home to Bradford City.

While Fleetwood are in cup action, Blackpool make the long journey down to Oxford United for their league fixture on Saturday.
