TEAM NEWS: Fleetwood v Oxford

Fleetwood Town's new loan signing Chris Long is set to make his debut against Oxford United tonight.

Striker Long, 21, joined the club on a season long loan from Premier League side Burnley on Friday but was not registered in time for Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Scunthorpe.

Long is expected to partner David Ball and Devante Cole in the front three of a 4-3-3 formation.

The forward comes in for midfielder Victor Nirrenold who moves to the bench with Bobby Grant expected to drop back into the midfield three with Eggert Jonsson and Jimmy Ryan.

That is the only change Town head coach Uwe Rosler makes from the side that drew with old Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander’s Iron side at the weekend.

There is no place for new Manchester City loanee George Glendon who joined the club before kick-off on Saturday.

Oxford make two changes to that lost 2-1 to Bristol Rovers.

Chey Dunklet comes in at centre half for the injured Curtis Nelson (foot) whilst Sam Long who was sent off starts his one match ban and is replaced by youngster Miles Welch Hayes at right back.
