Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer has made seven changes for today's EFL Cup clash against Bolton at Bloomfield Road.

Striker Kyle Vassell who scored ‘Pool’s first goal in their 2-0 opening day win over Exeter misses out due to a knock to his hip.

His strike partner Danny Philliskirk also misses the game due to an ankle injury picked up in that game whilst captain Danny Pugh, centre-half Tom Aldred and Andy Taylor are all absent from the squad ahead of Saturday’s League Two game against local rivals Morecambe.

Brad Potts, who whipped in the cross that Troy Brown diverted into his own net to seal the 2-0 win, moves to the bench as does Bright Osayi-Samuel who pulled up with cramp in the Exeter game.

After coming off the bench to make their debuts on Saturday Jamille Matt, Mark Yeates and Colin Daniel are handed their first starts for the club.

Former York City Eddie Nolan and on-loan Leicester City player Michael Cain are set to make their debuts and Mark Cullen makes his first appearance of the season as the Seasiders attempt to get into the second round for the first time since 2009.

Only keeper Sam Slocombe, Kelvin Mellor, Jim McAlister and Will Aimson remain from Saturday’s starting line-up.

Bolton make seven changes to the side that beat Sheffield United 1-0 on Saturday in League One.

No.1 Ben Amos replaces Mark Howard in goal with Jamie Proctor, Derik Osede, Mark Davies, Liam Trotter, Tom Walker and Alex Finney coming in for Gary Madine, Jay Spearing, Darren Pratley, Josh Vela, Lewis Buxton and David Wheater.

Howard, Buxton, Vela, Spearing and Madine all drop to the bench with Wheater and he injured Pratley not included in the squad.

Only Dean Moxey, Mark Beevers, Chris Taylor and Laurie Wilson remain from Saturday’s starting line-up.
