Hide AdViv Solomon-Otabor returns to the bench after being unavailable for selection for the 3-2 Boxing Day defeat to Scunthorpe United due to a 'disciplinary matter'.
The Seasiders will be looking to finish 2017 on a high while also putting an end to their miserable spell of form, which has seen them lose four out of their last five games.
They have also won just once in their last 11 outings.
Plymouth, meanwhile, are third in the League One form table having won four out of their last six games.
It is a spell that has seen them climb out of the dropzone and up to 19th, just one point off Gary Bowyer's men.
