Simon Grayson has a week to tweak at Fleetwood Town but saw 'lots of good things' at Plymouth

Grayson's third game in charge of the Highbury club brought his first defeat, but the new head coach believes Fleetwood could easily have beaten the Pilgrims with a little more luck.
Next week Town begin a run of four successive Tuesday fixtures but before then Grayson is enjoying a full week at Poolfoot Farm.

Hide AdHe said: "I'm learning about the players every time I see them train or play. They have accepted what we are trying to do and it's just a case of trying to tweak a few things to keep improving."
A Harrison Holgate own goal was the difference between the two sides at Home Park, leaving Grayson with a win, a draw and a loss from his first three games.
Grayson felt his players applied themselves well but lacked composure in attack.
He said: “We’ve done a lot of good things and could have scored.

Hide Ad“There was an occasion we put a great ball across and the lad has got a toe to it, deflected it into another defender’s path and he has got a toe to it just as it was dropping to one of our players.
“They were the real small margins that didn’t quite fall for us when we needed that little bit of luck.
“Plymouth are on a really good run and we’ve shown what we are capable of doing in this division but you have to give the opposition credit for defending like they did.
“They had numbers back there and it was us asking plenty of the questions, and as the away team, that was really pleasing.

Hide Ad“We had a game plan which we thought we did well with but you just want something to happen out of nothing.
“Maybe a bit of composure, a pull-back or final pass, or when a striker is getting on the end of a cross, just to have a bit more composure to get more on it and more clean contact.”
Tony Hallam, hero of Fleetwood’s Northern Premier League Cup triumph in 1971, has died at the age of 70.
The forward joined Fleetwood in 1969, after spells at Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers, and made 100 appearances. His 28 goals included the winner in that cup final replay against Macclesfield Town.
