The Seasiders make the 215-mile journey to Buckinghamshire having secured back-to-back victories against Morecambe and Plymouth Argyle last week.

Tuesday night’s win against Argyle took Blackpool up to 10th in the League Two table, with today’s opponents Wycombe just a spot behind them.

Bowyer said: “We know all about Wycombe. Gareth Ainsworth has done an unbelievable job there.

“You look at how many years he’s had in the post and what that gives you in terms of building a culture and a reputation, so we know it’s going to be a tough game like it always is.

“But we go there with a lot of confidence from the performances of previous games.

“That’s five unbeaten for us now, so we’ve got to go stand up and be counted but at the same time go and show what we’re capable of.”

Despite both sides being well in contention for a play-off spot, the Pool boss refused to put too much pressure on his players for this afternoon’s game.

He added: “What we’ve got now is 11 games until the end of the season which will throw lots of twists and turns up.

“You can’t ever say it’s down to just one game because like I always say anybody can beat anybody.

“You see teams come late and they come out of the pack while some drop from the automatic places and straight through the play-offs.

“It will be no different this season. We’ve just got to treat each game as it comes, pay respect to our opposition and plan to try and beat them.”

One player who is in fine form at the moment is Colin Daniel, who delivered a man-of-the-match display against Plymouth to build on a host of promising displays in recent weeks.

“He’s been very good all season,” Bowyer said. “He’s got great flexibility, so one week he can play left-back, he can play left wing-back, he can play left midfield, and the other night, he played on the wing and he was devastating.

“But there’s more to come from him and I still feel that. He’s playing some of the best football of his career but he’s got to keep that going.”
