Seasiders’ boss Gary Bowyer had been set to face his former club a week on Saturday, October 7, at Bloomfield Road.

However, international call-ups to three of Rovers’ players – Corry Evans, Charlie Mulgrew and Jayson Leutwiler – means the game has been postponed.

It will now take place on Tuesday, November 28 (7.45pm) unless both sides are knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup at the first round stage.

If that is the case, then the match will go ahead on Saturday, December 2.

Tickets purchased for the game will remain valid for the new fixture date.

Supporters who cannot attend will be able to obtain a refund.
