Rowe dominates Fylde awards night

The 50-goal hitman scooped four awards at the presentation evening held in Churchill’s suite at Mill Farm, including the Inspired Energy player of the season trophy.

Rowe, who smashed the National League North goal record with 47 goals, was also awarded the Bowker Motor Group player’s player of the season, the Inspired Energy goal of the season for his strike against Bradford Park Avenue back in August andthe AFC Fylde Community Foundation Golden Boot trophy.

The frontman has enjoyed a season to remember picking up the National League North player of the year.

He was also named alongside team-mate Dan Bradley in the league’s team of the year as the Coasters were promoted to the National League.

Rowe was then presented with a framed matchball by chairman David Haythornthwaite in recognition of his six hat-tricks over the season.

James Hardy was named the Kepak young player of the season after a year that saw him involved in more than 20 goals and make his England C debut, where he provided two assists in a 2-1 victory over Estonia.

There was also a special mention for Matt Blinkhorn who was awarded ‘Dave Challinor’s champagne moment of the season following his 97th minute equaliser against rivals Kidderminster Harriers.
