The 21-year-old joined Fleetwood on-loan from Rosler’s old club until January on Saturday.

The youngster was a star of the Premier League club’s Elite Development Squad last season and has captained City’s under 21 side but like fellow new boy Chris Long, who joined on a season long loan from Burnley on Friday, he was not included in the squad for Saturday’s 2-2 drawn with Scunthorpe.

And Rosler says the club will give Glendon the chance to grow into league football.

Rosler said: “Glendon is a player I know, we have got him under very good conditions from Manchester City.

“I think we will give him the chance to grow into league football.

“He is not quite ready now to throw him in especially in a game like Scunthorpe but we will build him up.

“I think he has the technical standards and the ability I am looking for in a midfield player.”

Glendon and Long, also 21, are set to be available for Wednesday’s home League One clash against Oxford United.

And Rosler says that Long wants to prove himself.

He said: “Chris Long is a player who will be very suitable for the way we play.

“He is fast, he is quick, he works the line and he is a goal scorer.

“He does not need many chances and he wants to prove himself again.

“He had been out through injury (hamstring) but he had a full pre-season and had a lot of minutes in pre-season.

“Every player who comes from Sean Dyche is 100% fit I can promise you that.

“The players are very hungry.”
