REVEALED: Blackpool's 2018/19 League One fixture list
Blackpool will kick off the 2018/19 League One campaign with an away trip to newly promoted side Wycombe Wanderers.
The Seasiders, who are looking to build on last season’s 12th-placed finish, will travel to Adams Park on Saturday, August 4 for the season opener.
Blackpool's first home game of the season will come on the following weekend against Portsmouth.
Gary Bowyer’s men will then follow that up with a visit to last season’s beaten play-off finalists Shrewsbury Town and a home game against promoted Coventry City.
Pool will play their Fylde Coast neighbours Fleetwood at Highbury on Saturday, October 27 with the return fixture at Bloomfield Road taking place on Easter Monday.
The Seasiders will face four fixtures over the Christmas and New Year period, facing Barnsley (H) on Saturday, December 22, Rochdale (A) on Boxing Day, AFC Wimbledon (A) on Saturday, December 29 and Sunderland (H) on New Year’s Day.
The Seasiders will travel to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, October 13.
Blackpool will host Gillingham on the last day of the season.
Pool will host Barnsley in the first round of the League Cup, with the tie being played at Bloomfield Road on Tuesday, August 14 (kick-off 7.45pm).
The season will end on May 4, 2019, with the League One play-off final scheduled for Sunday, May 26.
Blackpool fans will travel an extra 638 miles in support of the Seasiders next season.
The seven-team change to the division has resulted in less north-west based matches, with Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers promoted to the Championship and Oldham Athletic and Bury relegated to League Two.
A 73-mile round trip to Accrington Stanley has been added to the 2018/19 schedule, though Fleetwood Town remains the shortest journey over the season.
Visits to Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth remain the two furthest trips at 642 and 565 round miles, respectively.
One of Pool’s longest other trips this season, Gillingham, will be played on a Tuesday night on October 2.
In total, Blackpool fans will travel 7,753 miles if attending every league away fixture.
