A last-gasp Ian Henderson goal thwarted Joey Barton's quest for a first home win as his brace cancelled out Paddy Madden and Ched Evans' efforts.

Alex Cairns 7

Not at fault for either goal; a spectacular save from Rathbone in the first half.

Gethin Jones 6.5

A bit of miss-communication with Morgan for the penalty but it is his third game in a week and he is not used to that after getting in the team.

Ash Eastham 7.5

The former Rochdale man was as commanding as ever in the first half, a few heroic blocks for good measure.

Craig Morgan 5.5

Gave away the penalty, and, again, there are a few creases to iron out in what is only his third competitive game since a back injury at Wigan in 2017.

Lewie Coyle: 8

Dubbed 'Denis Irwin' on the training pitch and you can see why. While Gethin Jones looked like he was in his third game in a week the turnaround did not impact Coyle. A storming performance in an unfavoured position. Who knew the left-back solution was here all along. Town's star man.

Dean Marney 6

Easing his way back in only his second competitive game since 2017 - it showed and he will need time.

Jason Holt 6

The quietest we have seen him thus far but played a big role in the first goal with a ball through to Hunter

Kyle Dempsey 6

His 100th game but a quiet one by his standards, did not make his mark attacking wise but did well with the physical battle and an impact injury to show from that.

Paddy Madden 7

Took his goal well, a real poacher's finish. Showed that hunger and desire to start but was a bit feisty in the second half.

Ash Hunter 8

The architect of both goals, magical to watch at times but he will be disappointed he did not get his own name on the scoresheet.

Ched Evans 7

Got his goal and perhaps could have had another but came off because of injury which is a worry.

Subs: Wes Burns (for Evans, 62) 6.5:

Lively as ever, some great runs on that right flank but we need to see more end product. He should be scoring or finding a Town man with his crosses.

Cian Bolger (for Holt, 72) 7:

A negative substitution and one you do not want to see at home. He did his job with some vital blocks but it gave Rochdale an imputus to attack.

Conor McAleny (for Madden, 84) 6.5:

Does not really suit the impact sub role but looks sharp. Looked to have been fouled in build-up for Rochdale's goal too.
