Nelson 0 Squires Gate 0: Matchreport
Following Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to Padiham, Gate were made to settle for just a point on their second trip.
The home side came into the game in bad form and had conceded 13 goals in their last two games.

Hide AdGate’s first real chance came after nine minutes. A great pass from Noblet found Brett Dawson, who fired wide.
Mark Buchan almost got his head onto a Dawson cross but a Nelson defender managed to head the ball away.
Nelson would go close themselves on 34 minutes but headed wide.
Ben Seear then had Gate’s best and last chance of the first half, connecting well with Ryan Stayte’s cross but seeing the ball fall the wrong side of the post.

Hide AdGate’s second half took a turn for the worse on 54 minutes when Mark Thornber was shown a straight red card for a tackle.
That didn’t really have much effect on the game as Gate went on to dominate but struggled to test the keeper.
Probably their best chance of the second half came to Dawson, whose shot was parried away by keeper Lever as Gate ended with a goalless draw for the first time since February.
Gate are back in action next Saturday when they host Irlam at School Road.
