Swindon Town 0 Fleetwood Town 1: Madden strike gets Cod Army back to winning way...

Madden gave the Cod Army a first win in four League One games with a brilliant near-post finish from Josh Morris' corner in the 29th minute.

It took the Irishman level with David Ball as Fleetwood's record scorer in the Football League with 41 goals.

Head coach Barton said: "It was right off the training ground - obviously they had worked on that on the training ground.

"We had spotted a weakness in Swindon, and thankfully Josh has delivered the ball into the area and Paddy does what he does best.

"It was nice to see him get that record. Certainly the Fleetwood know how important his goals have been to the football club.

"Hopefully Madden can kick on and set an even more difficult record for the next man, whoever that is, to try and beat.

"It was a hard-fought three points but it was important to get back to winning ways after two disappointing defeats and losing to Blackpool in the league.

"It was difficult but all credit to Swindon - they're obviously fighting for their lives and we knew at some point we'd be under pressure, but we stood steadfast and obviously it was nice to get the clean sheet."

The game was played in front of a crowd of 2,000 in tier two Swindon and Barton added: "It felt strange to be playing in front of fans again. That shows just how normalised playing in front of no fans has become.

"We don't have the advantage of being able to play in front of them (at home) yet because of the tiering system.

"But it was nice to be able to come here, play in front of a crowd and get the three points, and take a clean sheet back to Highbury."
