Blackpool have been backed to pull off a great escape by former boss Ian Holloway.

The ever-positive Pool legend has tipped Neil McDonald’s side to sneak a victory at Peterborough on Sunday and thinks Fleetwood will lose at home to Crewe.

Talking in his role as a Football League expert on Sky Sports, Holloway said: “I can’t give up on Blackpool.

“It’s just amazing how things work out. Fleetwood were rising and rising and now they’re the ones that could put Blackpool down.

“I think Blackpool will get a result, and I’m going for a Crewe away win because Blackpool will stay up then!”
