The Fleetwood head coach praised the Premier League manager for sticking to his word and loaning them young defender Baily Cargill – despite another club’s late bid.

Town beat off a host of other clubs to secure the 22-year-old left-sided defender on a season long loan deal.

He arrives at Highbury just five months after making his Premier League debut for the Cherries against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Cargill has also represented England at Under-20 level, scoring on his debut against Canada back in November 2014.

Rosler believes Cargill will add balance to the back line as he prepares to compete with Nathan Pond, Ashley Eastham, Cian Bolger and Harvey Rodgers.

But Cargill will have to wait for his debut as Rosler revealed he will not be ready to feature tomorrow against AFC Wimbledon.

He said: “We are happy. We were fretting because there was another club who tried to hijack the deal at the last minute.

“All credit to Eddie Howe, all credit to Baily; they stood by their word and committed to us.

“The player needs to fulfil the last fitness test.

“The player had a slight niggle that he has overcome now and that is why it took a little bit of time.

“The player will be with us next week and I think he will give us something that we are looking for.

“He knew that we are a decent football side, that we are a club who in general are giving young players a chance to play both our own and loan players.

“That is why he has come to us.

“Eddie Howe has also played a vital role in that and I really thank him for that that he sees us as a very good place for his player to develop.

“I’m sure he will get regular game time and he will help us and that will be good for his development and our football club.

“We expect him to be here over the weekend and he will be available for us for the next game.”
