Fylde amateur football: FC Albion step up a gear in Alliance and Thornton Cleveleys move ahead in West Lancs League

Billy's dazzling double for Layton Seniors

Keeper Kyle Thomas gave a man of the match performance for unbeaten leaders Queens in their 3-2 win over The Clarence. Ash Robinson (2) and Michael McAlpine scored for the winners, Will Robinson bagging both for Clarence.

Bloomfield Brewhouse halted a tough run of defeats in style with a 6-1 win over Phoenix Car Care as Craig Robinson scored a hat-trick on his return after two years out. Liam Orr (2) and Jamie Hughes scored the others.

AFC Ardwick also had a hat-trick hero in a six-goal win. Arran Fleming scored three and Ellis Tortelli, Liam Kay and Lewis Loughran netted too as Exceptional Kitchens were beaten 6-0.

Foxhall extended their lead in division one to five points with a ruthless 10-2 win over bottom club Belle Vue, though unbeaten AFC Jacinta have two games in hand. Third-placed Chekk Elec edged out Marton 1-0 to move above them into third.

Kirkham and Wesham moved off the bottom with their first win, 4-0 against pre-season favourites Little Black Pug, while AFC Broadwater beat AMS Car Care 4-1.

A goals-galore game in division two saw third-placed Ciao Ciao defeat bottom club Highlands 11-6, Damen Hancock and Corey Sellers scoring four apiece. There were two for the winners’ Kieran Fairnie and Highlands’ Tom Harrison. A point still separates the top two after leaders FC Rangers won 3-0 at Marshall Court and West Coast Sports were 4-1 winners at New Philly.

Clifton Rangers are up to fifth after a third straight win, goals by Denny Cain and Jakub Literski accounting for Highfield 2-0. It ended 1-1 between 21st Century (Rory Davis) and H&A (Allan Glenney).

Thornton Cleveleys drew 1-1 with Poulton to extend their lead in the West Lancashire League premier division.

On a weather-affected weekend, Thornton moved a point clear of second-placed Fulwood Amateurs, while Poulton climbed to seventh.

Wyre Villa played out an enthralling 3-3 draw at home to Lostock St Gerards to move up to eighth in division one.

Freckleton were back in division two action and cruised to their first win of the season at Cadley. The 5-1 win left Freck 13th.
