Forward Ged Garner re-signs for Fleetwood Town weeks after being released

The 21-year-old was released by the Highbury club only five weeks ago but has since impressed as a pre-season triallist, earning a new deal which runs until January.

The Liverpudlian, who signed his first professional contract for Fleetwood three years ago, has made seven senior appearances for the club, six of them in cup competitions.

He scored his only Town goal to date in the FA Cup win at Alfreton Town in November 2018.

Garner's return was announced hours after the club released its squad numbers for the coming season. He has been added to the list and will wear the number 29 shirt.
