Last season’s loan spell at Highbury saw the 23-year-old establish himself as a mainstay in Joey Barton’s team before picking up the injury against Tranmere Rovers last November.
He continued his rehabilitation at Poolfoot Farm and worked with the Fleetwood medical team before his recovery was capped by a permanent move to the club.

Hide AdSpeaking to the Gazette, Rossiter said: “I had to keep on cracking on.
“Some days Poolfoot was available and other days it wasn’t so I just had to crack on elsewhere, do a home session and things like that.
“It maybe made my recovery a little bit slower but it was just another hurdle that I had to get over.
“I can’t thank Liam McGarry (head physiotherapist), Richard Baron (physiotherapist) and Lloyd Balazs (soft tissue therapist) enough, they’ve all been fantastic getting me to this point.

“I was hoping the promotion would have come towards the back end of the season because the lads were first class towards the end of the season.
“All the lads want to get the season started as soon as possible and go and have a right good crack at it this season because we know we’re good enough to be up there.
“The lads have come back for pre-season in the last few days in absolutely fantastic shape.”
