Fleetwood Town midfielder focuses on the future after his return

The former Accrington man was suspended prior to joining Fleetwood Town, for a combination of 10 yellow cards and the use of abusive language in a match for Stanley last season.

The 28-year-old made his return to football in midweek against his former side.

He said: “I’m not really going to go into whether it was fair.

“It felt a little bit longer because I picked up a yellow card in the last game before lockdown, which was then 10 yellows, and then 10 games instead of eight games.

“The original ban was eight games. It’s done and dusted now and I’m looking forward to getting back playing now.

“In the football environment things get said in the heat of the moment on and off the pitch. It happens in every game, you have little arguments and disagreements with other players and things happen. You learn your lesson and you move on.”
