Fleetwood Town confirm second pre-season friendly

Fleetwood Town will visit National League club Stockport County for their second pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Town welcomed League Two Carlisle United to Poolfoot Farm on Tuesday and twice came from behind to win 4-2 with goals by Ched Evans, Ged Garner (playing as a triallist after being released by the club), Shayden Morris and an own goal.

It was the first outing for Joey Barton's side since their League One play-off semi-final at Wycombe Wanderers five weeks earlier.

Town continue their build-up to the EFL's September 12 kick-off with a 1pm friendly behind closed doors at Stockport's Edgeley Park on Saturday.

Supporters cannot attend the game but will be able to watch the match live online - it will be streamed on Stockport's YouTube channel.
