Mulgrew said: “They’ve started well, it’s going to be a tough game like all the games are really. There are no easy games.
“It’s going to be tough, so we’ve prepared for the game and we’ll be going there to win the game.
“This is an experienced squad that have played at this level and have experience in football, so does the manager.

“Hopefully that’s enough to help this team. That’s why I’m here, to try and help us and push us as best I can.
“Leadership is a big part of what I can do for this team. It’s important to have the experiences and leaders in the group in different areas of the pitch.
“We’re grateful that we’ve got that but also a good mix of young lads who can step up and help us as well.”

“It really is a top quality squad,” he said.
“You just need to look at the names that are here.
“As much as it’s a good team and a good squad on paper, who have good careers and played at a good level, when you train day in, day out with these players you realise that there really is a high standard and that’s something that can only be good.
“We’ve got to be on it every day. The manager has got us on it, he demands high standards.
“I’ve been really impressed with the management and the coaches so far. It’s a good start and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
