Fleetwood Town appoint Simon Grayson as new head coach
Fleetwood Town have appointed Simon Grayson as their new head coach on a contract until the end of the season.
Grayson returns to the Fylde coast having last managed Town's local rivals Blackpool, whilst he has also had spells with Preston North End, Huddersfield and Leeds United in League One - achieving promotion with each of those sides.
The 51-year-old comes in to replace temporary boss Simon Wiles, though it is not confirmed what the 35-year-old's role will be moving forward.
Fleetwood next play at the weekend, giving Grayson a full week with his new squad before they host Bristol Rovers in League One.
The Cod Army are winless in nine games across all competitions and currently sit 14th, nine points from both the relegation and play-off places.
