Stanley Primary School were among those in attendance and teacher Mrs Page said: “Our Year 4 children have really enjoyed it. They have participated in lots of games and activities that they would not normally have the opportunity to try in school. ”

A Trust spokesman said: “We are really proud of how the event went and thankful for all the schools that participated. The festival is the pinnacle of the Fit2Go year.

“The children had a fantastic time and the behaviour was exceptional, and a credit to their schools. It was great to see big smiles throughout.”
