Exeter boss Tisdale gives match verdict

Grecians' boss Paul Tisdale was impressed with Blackpool's display at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, but said it was too early to say whether they would be among the League Two front runners

Speaking after his side's 2-0 defeat, Tisdale said: "Blackpool were well organised and had discipline. They held their pattern really nicely.

"We went behind and couldn't get back into it."

When quizzed about how well the Seasiders would fare in League Two, he said: "Ask me after 10 games if Blackpool will do well in this division.

"But everyone would assume that a club of Blackpool's standing would be able to challenge.

"Gary (Bowyer) has set his side up nicely."

Bowyer said: "Against Exeter we were playing against an established team, who have been together for a long time.

"We are only six weeks into a relationship and we are learning about each other.

"Exeter have some good players and a way of playing, developed over a number of years and they are a great example for football clubs in general in terms of how they are run and they are not sacking their manager every two minutes."
