Cod Army can be Rosler's 12th man
Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler says the Cod Army can be Town's 12th man in their final promotion push.
Town are third, six points off second-placed Bolton Wanderers with a seven-game April to determine whether this season will end with an automatic promotion spot, a play-off place – or in tears.
After racking up their highest away following of the campaign with 572 fans at Bury, Rosler once again wants the supporters to come out in force.
He said: “I think it is important that they are coming again in numbers. Bury away was another big milestone for us, the amount of travelling support.
“I think everybody has to realise what we went through in the last weeks and months.
“I think, in those situations, the crowd really has to realise that they can be the extra man for us and they can give confidence to our players by being very positive in and around the stadium and creating a very good atmosphere – like they have done on many occasions.”
Town face struggling Swindon Town today, who are in the bottom four and four points adrift of safety.
The Robins pulled off a shock win over Millwall last Saturday but Rosler is eager for three points after back-to-back goalless draws with AFC Wimbledon and Bury.
He said: “They have talented players; they have the best goalscorer in the league from last season in their team, Nicky Ajose.
“We need to be sure that we are focusing on ourselves; what we do and trying to do it better than against Bury.
“Our job is to enforce ourselves on them, not let them play, dictate our way, play too them, then we have a great chance.”
