The centre back, who made the move to Bloomfield Road from Accrington Stanley in January 2015, has started 99 games in all competitions for the club.

He is now hoping to cap off what would be an impressive milestone by securing a place in the play-offs for Gary Bowyer's men.

"It's gone quite fast at times and slow at other times," Aldred said. "It's good to get to that milestone because I've never done it before at any other club.

"It's safe to say there's been ups and downs and lots of different emotions in the different games, but to confirm ourselves in the play-offs would be the perfect way to hit 100."

The 26-year-old has been part of a defence that has kept 15 clean sheets in the league to date, helped by the fact that he played with Clark Robertson and Will Aimson last season.

He added: "Myself and Clark have built up a good partnership and that takes time and a lot of games together.

"Will's also slotted in as well when he's played and whoever plays, we feel like we've got a good partnership. Clean sheets have been good for us to build on.

"As for the Orient game, we've got just focus on us. We look after ourselves like you do in football. If we can get the three points, we know we'll be in the play-offs."
