Blackpool snap up QPR keeper on loan while Allsop departs
Blackpool have brought in Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Joe Lumley on loan - allowing Ryan Allsop to return to AFC Bournemouth.
Lumley, 22, is highly-rated at Loftus Road and has acted as backup to regular number one Alex Smithies throughout the current Championship campaign.
Having made his first-team debut for QPR in 2016, Lumley spent time out on loan with Saturday’s opponents Bristol Rovers last season, making 19 appearances.
He will remain with Blackpool until the end of the season.
"I'd like to thank QPR for allowing Joe to join us on loan," manager Gary Bowyer said.
"He's a keeper with a lot of promise and he performed very well on loan with Bristol Rovers last season."
Meanwhile, Ryan Allsop has returned to his parent club AFC Bournemouth.
The 'keeper departs Bloomfield Road having made 23 appearances for the Seasiders.
He was Blackpool's regular number one until the 1-1 draw at Charlton Athletic on December 23.
He was dropped for Ben Williams who went on to play three straight games, before he himself was dropped for Christoffer Mafoumbi.
"I'd like to thank Ryan for his contribution this season and wish him all the very best for the future," Bowyer added.
