The Alvechurch youngster trained with the Seasiders during pre-season and impressed in Blackpool's 2-1 friendly win at Nantwich Town, setting up Mark Cullen's opener.

HITC Sport has reported the 23-year-old is to sign a two-year contract with the Seasiders with the option of a further 12 months, claiming he will go straight into Pool's first-team squad.

However, The Gazette understands Ceesay - who is likely to officially sign later this week - will be loaned out to gain further experience.

The pacey forward impressed for Alvechurch last season, helping them win promotion from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division One South.

Terry McPhillips, still in temporary charge at Bloomfield Road, said after Saturday's 0-0 draw at Walsall that he was hoping to tie up deals for two free agents - with the club still searching for a new striker.
