The Seasiders take on Crewe Alexandra this weekend looking to pick up only their second win of the campaign, having lost four of their opening five league matches.

While performances this season have, in the large, been encouraging, Robson believes it is the mistakes at the back which are currently letting them down.

“We believe the performances have been good, so it’s just a case of adding to it,” the 23-year-old said.

“We know we need to cut out individual mistakes and we’ve got to be more solid as a team and not let goals in as easy as we are doing at the moment.

“We’ve all had clips sent to us for things to work on. But it’s something we need to work on as a team, not letting cheap goals in because at the moment it’s costing us.

“We’ve got good players and we’re just hoping we’ll get a bit of luck and the results will turn.”

Blackpool take on a Crewe side at Gresty Road this weekend that have won two and lost two so far this season.

It comes after Dave Artell’s men clinched automatic promotion from League Two last time out.

“We know they’re a passing team, they’re going to play football which should make for a good match-up,” Robson added.

“If we can stick to how we can play, we’ve got more than enough ability in the team to turn them over.”
