Demetri Mitchell, Pool’s standout player in this half, sees his curling effort well saved by Cameron Mason.
37 - Wide for Southport
Southport should be level, but Marcus Carver can only head wide from a knockdown. A bit of a let-off for the Seasiders, that.
Pool’s second-half XI, meanwhile, emerge for a warm-up and receive a healthy reception from the Blackpool fans.

CJ Hamilton blazes well over when he really ought to have hit the target as a minimum. The winger did well to skip past his marker to begin with, however.

Pool are beginning to get a little sloppy here, especially down their right-hand side where youngster Jack Moore has been caught out of position on a couple of occasions.
Brad Holmes, meanwhile, fires over from Demetri Mitchell’s pullback as Pool hunt for a second.

Jack Bainbridge heads wide from Niall Watson’s left-wing cross. That’s a good chance for the home side.

Connor Woods almost slips in his Southport strike partner Marcus Carver, but Jordan Thorniley does well to step across and make the interception.

Jordan Thorniley has put the ball out to allow Grant Ward to walk off a slight injury. But the midfielder is okay to continue at the moment.
That possibly explains why Sarkic went to warm-up earlier.
18 - Southport threat
Southport are a direct side and their main threat is coming from long throws and set-pieces, but the Seasiders have dealt with them well so far.
