“I loved it, I loved being out there,” the winger said.
“Getting a bit of game time at Anfield was an amazing experience but to start in this game at home was amazing.
“I found out on the morning of the game that I was going to start and I was really excited, I couldn’t wait to get out there.

“I thought it went okay. I got into some good spaces, it’s now just a case of taking that into goals and assists because that’s what I’m here for.
“We were a bit disappointed we didn’t win during normal time because we had some great chances, but it’s onto the next one now at Plymouth.”

“I’m always confident in those situations, I feel as though I can produce when it needs to happen,” Kemp added.
“I always want to score goals and create things, so I was looking forward to taking a penalty and thankfully it went in.

Kemp, who only signed last week on a season-long loan deal from West Ham, has been delighted with how his first few days have gone.
“I’ve loved every minute, everyone’s made me feel so welcome - starting from the manager, his staff and the boys, they’ve all been brilliant with me and welcomed me in,” he said.
“It’s a real family club and I’m just grateful to them for welcoming me in.”
