Here's how we rated the players...
.
The Blackpool players celebrate Keshi Anderson's goal.
. Dan Grimshaw - 6
Had little to do in the game as a whole. Could not do much to prevent either of the two goals.
. Dujon Sterling - 5
Did okay in the first 45 but not so much in the second half. Much of Hartlepool’s joy came down his side.
. Marvin Ekpiteta - 6
Did not have much to contend with early on but repelled what he could in the second half as Blackpool fell off.
. Richard Keogh - 6
Like Ekpiteta, was not troubled much until the second half as Hartlepool began to pile on the pressure.
. James Husband - 6
Was only on the pitch for fewer than 45 minutes but looked fairly bright, linking up with Anderson before his exit.
. Keshi Anderson - 6
Game cut short due to a hamstring injury but got the opening goal and was fairly promising getting in behind.
7. Kenny Dougall - 5
Didn’t effect the game too much in the first half but helped keep control. Couldn’t keep it up in the second.
8. Callum Connolly - 5
Looked assured in the first half but, as the game opened up, losing control of the centre cost them. Booked too.
9. Josh Bowler - 6
There were times where he looked a bit of a threat but it was too few and far between – should have had an assist.
10. Shayne Lavery - 5
Will not want to see his two first-half misses back. Unfortunately offered little else.
11. Gary Madine - 6
Won his share of headers and his early link-up play with Lavery was good. Left trying to salvage poor service.
12. CJ Hamilton - 5
Got into a couple of decent goalscoring positions and could not take advantage. Should have scored in the second half.
